@justin: The speed is correct. It is not an easy riff!
Keep in mind that the 3rd string --4-6-4-- is a hammer on, pull off combination. Similar technique used for that move on different positions/strings throughout.
what is everyone complaining about? this song is a piece of piss, i can play the guitar bit on bass, no trouble. the timings aren't difficult, its just a bit fast tbf
this doesn't sound write because the computer doesn't have the exact right sound for guitars but it is spot on. Played the bass version and it sounds right, well the bass at least.
I believe the 7-6-4-4 sequence at the beginning of the second measure should be 7-6-4-6 (same strings though)
Also the triplets in your tab are not perfect triplets in the recording, but have a bit of a gracenote feel, with the second note of the triplet falling on the beat.
It's not that hard really... Fingering: 1st section of riff: 1st finger on top, 3rd finger on middle, 2nd finger on bottom, use 4th for the hammer. Rest of the riff: 1st finger on top, 2nd finger on middle, 3rd finger on bottom. After playing the bottom, lift your 3rd finger and move it to do the hammer. You just needa slide you hand around while repeating the same kinda action. You might wanna try stretch out your hands first though.
I will tell you all this, as far as the bass goes, a lot of the song is spot on accurate, and then theres the verse part that is completely wrong. However, wrong as it maybe it sounds pretty damn good. There is a bass part missing completely however. You can get the right tempo and everything here, and the part that is missing you can pick up at BassMasta.net. I'm not a guitarist, so I don't know if that's right. Good job on this song though.
