guitarman im a bit of both, cause my neighbor gave some basic tips to me like this song, he's been at it for about 25 or so years so yeah i was happy to take his tips... but basically like u i play a song by ear then i come here to fine tune it.

for sure mate... i play ur version for the solo now too its way easier. wasnt baggin ya aye just like u mentioned urself there are different ways to play the song. just gotta find what works for u. at least thats what my mentor taught me

i played it the way i know it and the way yhey show it and it sounds the same thing just one is a little more complex but why go threw all that work when theres a little easer way to pay it but there still right but i do play the solo diffrent but it sounds the same

in riff 16 (18 30 and all the others just like it) you dont just palm mute the strings bar your finger over the a d & g strings on the third fret and play the mute as a harmonic if you listen to the recording you can hear the difference in the mute from the first part of the riff where its just a pickscrape mute and where its a harmonic not sure howd youd write that into the tab tho.
