Runaway
Del Shannon
This is great song from the early 60's, if you can find it, I'd
check out the version by Luis Cardenas from the mid 80's. It is
truly a great rendition and really kicks. It was first time I'd
heard the lead, originally play on an organ, played on guitar ,
which is what I tabbed here.

Am G
As I walk along I wonder, what went wrong,
F E
with our love, a love we thought was strong.
Am G
And as I still walk on I think of, the things we done,
F E
together, when our hearts were young.
CHORUS:
A F#m
I'm a walkin' in the rain, tears are fallin' and I feel the pain.
A F#m A
Wishin' you were here by me, to end this misery, and I wonder...
F#m
I wa - wa - wa - wa - wonder.
A F#M D
Why. why - why - why - why - why - she ran away, and I wonder,
E A D E
when she will stay, my little runaway, run-run-run-run-runaway.
LEAD: ( really dirty up your guitar for this, make it mean & nasty )
note: I wrote this in small increments to make easier to follow
/=slide up \=slide down h=hammer r=rake(pull-off) v=vibrate
