by Neil Young

NOTES :
Political activism in the rock world was already at a peak in 1970 when president Richard
Nixon ordered the Ohio National Guard to Kent State University to confront Vietnam War
student protestors. Young wrote this huge hit and poignant anti-war rallying cry after
learning the outcome of the tragic event.
