BAD RAIN - Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators
Track #10 off of Apocalyptic Love. It was broadcast on Slash's BBC Radio 2 rock
show a few weeks ago, and I fell in love with it. It's quite a fun one to play as
well - especially if you have a wah.
Let's get started.
Verse:
| eb | |
| Bb | |
| Gb | |
| db | |
| Ab | 0 2 3 2 0 7 10 9 8 3 | x7 |
| Db | 0 2 3 2 0 7 10 9 8 3 |
| eb | |
| Bb | |
| Gb | |
| db | 10 |
| Ab | 0 2 3 2 0 7 10 9 8 10 |
| Db | 0 2 3 2 0 7 10 9 8 10 |
Bridge:
| eb | |
| Bb | |
| Gb | |
| db | |
| Ab | 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 10 10 10 |
| Db | 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 10 10 10 |
| PM |
The guitar is all very linear up to this point. After the bridge, though, it splits into
two - Slash and Myles. Myles was the only person to play guitar on this album other
than Slash.
Chorus:
Slash:
| eb | |
| Bb | |
| Gb | 3 |
| db | 3 3 x 3 |
| Ab | 0 3h5 3h5 x 0h1 3 | x3 |
| Db | 0 3 0 2 3 2 |
| eb | |
| Bb | |
| Gb | 3 5 |
| db | 3 3 x 3 5 |
| Ab | 0 3h5 3h5 x 0h1 3 | x1 |
| Db | 0 0 2 3 2 |
Myles:

| Ab | 0 7 5 7 8 3 | x3 |
| Db | 0 7 5 7 8 3 0 2 3 2 |
| eb | |
| Bb | |
| Gb | 3 5 |
| db | 0 7 3 x 3 5 |
| Ab | 0 7 3h5 3h5 x 0h1 3 | x1 |
| Db | 0 |
The verse is the same as before for the first half, but this is introduced for the second half:
Slash:
| eb | |
| Bb | |
| Gb | 5 5 4 4 3 3 1 1s2 |
| db | |
| Ab | 5 x 5 5 x 5 3h5 |
| Db | 0 0 0 |
| PM |
The riff repeats until the bridge, which leads into the chorus as previously.

There's a flurry here in Dm Pentatonic that I can't transcribe because of the wah
blurring the notes, but it ends with this:
| eb | |
| Bb | |
| Gb | 12b14 12b14~ 10 |
| db | 12/ |
| Ab | |
| Db | |
The verse is empty of guitar bar some clean chords:
| eb | 5 6 5 |
| Bb | 6 6 6 6 |
| Gb | 7 7 5 |
| db | |
| Ab | |
| Db | |
After this, slide in from high on the low strings into a chorus. The chorus is the same
as the previous ones, but double the length.
After this, stamp on your wah pedal and leave it almost flat, so you get a very trebley
And quite distorted tone. Slash brings in another riff for the final section of the song;
Slash
| eb | |
| Bb | |
| Gb | |
| db | 0 0 3p0 0 7 0 0 3p0 10 9 8 0 3p0 0 6b7 0 2 3 2 |
| Ab | | x3 |

| Gb | |
| db | 0 0 3p0 0 7 0 0 3p0 10 9 8 0 3p0 0 5 |
| Ab | | x1 |

And that's it. If you have any queries/disputes with what I've put, or know what the
