There’s a street where I live, there’s a road I took every day

Down the lane is a shop where I would stop to read the magazines.

There’s a house the front porch the old tree that I cut down long ago.

These are my old haunts but I’m not haunted any more.

There’s a place where we met with our friends for a meal on a Friday night.

It used to be Italian then now it’s something else again I do not know.

How it’s changed up and down don’t you know now it’s just the same.

These are my old haunts but I’m not haunted any more.

Down the street far around the back.

half a mile to the rail road track.

Down the street far around the back.

Half a mile to the rail road track.

There’s a place I paid my dues I little confused about my voice for the first time.

Hesitation blues became the thunder of a rolling train straight out of here.

All the time on that track I knew one day I would be back here again.

These are my old haunts but I’m not haunted any more.

I’m not haunted any more

I’m not haunted any more
