You lean in close like I am your black umbrella
We run for cover, wind up in the corner of a
Brown stone on the corner of west 17th
Out of the blue it's coming down in sheets
Even the rain is falling, falling now
Even the sky knows just what I should do
Even the world's throwing a blanket of gray around us
Even the rain is falling for you
What is that they say, about a red sky warning
One minute all is clear, next thing it all is storming
Why should I be surprised, what you make happen next
It's all silver lined, just let me catch my breath
Even the rain is falling, falling now
Even the sky knows just what I should do
Even the world's throwing a blanket of gray around us
Even the rain is falling for you
All I know is yesterday I bled all green and made me lonesome
With a waving of your hand everything changes, everything changes
Even the rain is falling, falling now
Even the sky knows just what I should do
Even the world's throwing a blanket of gray around us
Even the rain is falling for you
And I'm falling for you
I'm falling for you
I'm falling for you
