Standard (EADGBE)
That is the order of the chords. He does a few little things so this is how you
wanna play them.
The G or C chord is really either because in the riff the bass note is C. It does
end on a G. Tom plays G to G.
This pattern is good through the first two verses and first two choruses. After
the second chorus he plays something else, but still with the same chords. This is
around 3:10 of the video posted below.
Tom doesn't play the open D near the end, but he leaves space for it and it does
fit. After this over both of the verses it reverts back to the chord progression.
In the part he plays the single notes I like to end it with how the violin part
ends, but thats just me.
Lyrics with Chords:
(One, two, three, four.)
Intro
x2
He wakes up sad again,
And he wonders when the rain will end.
(Maybe tomorrow.)
She'll act like she don't care,
To her its just a game that he plays.
Chorus
And I'm saying:
I'm a super, I'm a nothing,
I'm a no-one, going nowhere
Fast, but I don't care.
But I don't care.
I'm a super, I'm a nothing,
I'm a no-one, going nowhere
Fast, but I don't care.
x2 w/violin
All the times he said he would
She never really understood
What he meant.
(What he said.)
He'll find himself alone standing in the rain.
Chorus
And I'm saying:
I'm a super, I'm a nothing,
I'm a no-one, going nowhere
Fast, but I don't care.
But I don't care.
I'm a super, I'm a nothing,
I'm a no-one, going nowhere
Fast, but I don't care.
x2 w/violin
(What he said.)
He'll find himself alone standing in the rain.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey thanks for all the sadness
Hey, hey thanks for all the madness
Hey, hey thanks for all you gave me
*No Chord*
Hey, hey thanks for trying to save me
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey thanks for all the sadness
Hey, hey thanks for all the madness
Hey, hey thanks for trying to take me
*No Chord*
Hey, hey thanks for all you gave me
I'm a super, I'm a nothing,
I'm a no-one, going nowhere
Fast, but I don't care.
But I don't care.
I'm a super, I'm a nothing,
I'm a no-one, going nowhere
Fast, but I don't care.
